ROBO Global AI ETF THNQ Surpasses $500M, Outpaces QQQ

The ROBO Global Artificial Intelligence ETF (THNQ) has achieved significant milestones, surpassing $100 per share and exceeding $500 million in assets under management for the first time. This performance highlights the effectiveness of its disciplined index methodology in capturing AI exposure.
THNQ has outperformed the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) by 34.4 percentage points year-to-date, marking its largest annual outperformance on record. This margin surpasses the previous record of 19.6 percentage points set in 2020.
Strategic index additions and deletions since January 2025 have significantly contributed to THNQ’s success, accounting for roughly 30% of its year-to-date returns. Companies added to the index generated 19.3 percentage points, or 34%, of THNQ’s 57.3% return through October 2.
The removal of underperforming companies has also played a key role. Eliminating 10 companies in 2025 added an estimated six percentage points to this year’s performance. Former constituents, including Adobe (ADBE), Intuit (INTU), FICO (FICO), and Fiserv (FISV), have declined significantly since their removal.

The ROBO Global Artificial Intelligence Index, which underlies THNQ, has demonstrated the value of a dynamic approach in capturing the potential of the AI revolution. Combined, portfolio reconstitutions added 17 percentage points to 2026 performance, showing the value of a dynamic index.
